New York Jets @ Buffalo Bills Betting Tips - 09/12/18

Event name: New York Jets @ Buffalo Bills

Location: New Era Field

Event date: 09/12/2018

The battle to avoid bottom spot in the AFC East could be decided this weekend when divisional rivals Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets meet. The Bills have a one-win lead over the Jets after winning the first meeting between these two sides and another win here would all-but ensure they avoid finishing bottom of the division.

It has been a disappointing season for the Bills, who, for the most part, have looked a mess this season. They have picked up just four wins this season and two of those wins have come in the last three games. That in itself tells a story of the Bills really improving in recent weeks, smashing the Jets and beating the Jaguars, before losing by just four points against the Dolphins last weekend. The Bills were so close to beating the Dolphins last weekend, but a dropped pass in the end zone in the final play of the game meant they left empty-handed, remaining on four wins of the season with a record of 4-8. They sit third in the division.

One of the few teams who have been even worse than the Bills this season are the Jets. They sit on just three wins for the season with a record of 3-9, rock bottom of the AFC East. It has been a disastrous season for the Jets who have been cannon-fodder for most teams in the NFL. They have now lost six games on the bounce and they are likely to make it seven to seal their fate as bottom team in the AFC East this weekend.

The Bills had only two DNPs in Thursday’s practice. Jason Croom and Taron Johnson were the only absentees. John Miller has returned from injury to fully participate in practice.

The Jets had just one absentee from Thursday’s practice with Isaiah Crowell missing out with a toe injury. Jordan Leggett, Josh McCown and Robby Anderson were all limited.

The Bills won 41-10 when these two teams met just a few weeks ago. Buffalo are also on a run of two wins in their last three games and they should come through this with a win against a very poor Jets team this weekend.
